This is a story about former boxer Rubin “Hurricane” Carter (Denzel Washington) now convicted murderer and his attempts to get justice as he fights, with the help of a Canadian family, to get his conviction quashed.The movie is an embellished form of the true story of Rubin Carter whose real life story is similar to that of the character who bears his name in the movie. Rubin Carter manages to get his conviction set aside by the courts after he had spent twenty years in prison for crimes he did not know anything about.
